Compare fixed-rate borrowing and savings scenarios using explicit assumptions. Each calculator shows the model behind the answer so you can distinguish a computed payment or balance from a lender quote or investment forecast.

Choose a tool for your task

Compound Interest Calculator
Model a starting balance with optional regular deposits. Deposit frequency and interest compounding are separate settings; use both to match the scenario.
Loan Repayment Calculator
Compare fixed-term loan payments, interest and extra payments. Use the repayment schedule to see how the outstanding principal changes.
Mortgage Calculator
Separate the loan payment from optional property tax, insurance and other housing costs. A lower principal-and-interest payment alone does not establish affordability.

Compare two borrowing offers

  1. Use the same loan amount and term for both offers. Enter each stated rate separately, rather than comparing payments on different principals.
  2. Compare total interest as well as the monthly payment. Then change the term to see the trade-off between payment size and interest over time.
  3. Check the lender documents for fees, variable-rate conditions and payment timing. Add costs that the model excludes before making a decision.

What these tools can and cannot tell you

Fixed rates and regular payment schedules are assumptions. Actual lenders can use different rounding and posting rules. Savings projections exclude taxes, inflation and changing returns; mortgage totals depend on the optional housing costs you enter. These tools do not assess suitability or approve borrowing.
